In Transit is a rhyming haiku sequence that describes fleeting, ever-so-slightly nostalgic impressions of Scotland, hinting at thoughts of exile, illusory motion, and both homecoming and homesickness.

Alessandra Trinidad has moved from Manila to New York City to Aberdeen, and has written poems that have appeared in such publications as Ink, Sweat & Tears, Gutter, Northwords Now, 14 Magazine & Open Mouse. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from New York University and currently teaches English in Milan, Italy. In Transit is her first collection of poetry.
